WELCOME TO THRIVE WITH VISION & THRIVE VISION THERAPY

We, at Thrive With Vision and Thrive Vision Therapy, specialize in helping individuals optimize their vision. ‘Vision’ is different than ‘sight’. ‘Sight’ defines the ability to see clear detail. Refractive error (near-sightedness, far-sightedness, astigmatism) and eye health make up what provides us our ‘sight’. ‘Vision’ is an involved process of the brain.

Vision is learned and developed, so it can be considered a process made up of visual skills. Many of us live, work and attend school without optimum correction or with inefficient visual skills. This can lead to eyestrain, headaches, difficulty reading and learning, poor balance and coordination and difficulty in sports. Vision can be developmentally inefficient, or it can be altered after brain injury, stroke or concussion.

Vision problems are common in individuals that experience difficulty reading and learning; vision problems are also common in individuals who have experienced a stroke or a traumatic brain injury. (i.e. concussion) The goal of vision therapy is to train the patient's brain to use the eyes to receive information effectively, to comprehend it quickly and to react to it appropriately.

Determining a prescription for glasses or contact lenses, detecting eye conditions such as glaucoma or macular degeneration, and evaluating visual efficiency are factors of a comprehensive eye and vision examination at Thrive With Vision. We strive to make your vision more efficient and more comfortable by evaluating your entire visual system and by caring for the entire you.
